Hazard Data Summary
Threat Summary
SECTION 1 – THREAT SUMMARY: Living in the 20011 area involves a critical hazard score of ten out of ten. The Peeler's Cleaners Superfund site is a primary concern, along with dozens of nearby dry cleaning locations. These sites released a chemical called tetrachloroethylene, or PCE, into the ground. PCE is a toxic solvent that can seep into the air inside homes or contaminate local soil. This means potential long-term exposure to dangerous vapors that residents often cannot see or smell.
